Testing... testing... 1, 2, 3.... haa?? Apa dia?

Urgh... Nak burp... sakit
Nak menguap.... sakit
Baring mengiring sebelah kanan.... sakit
Sujud masa solat.... sakit
Mandi... slow2. Kalau tak... sakit
Setiap kali nak solat, kena cuci dulu & sumbat dengan kapas supaya nanah tak keluar & membatalkan solat.... adussss sakit!
Ubat setiap 8 jam, tapi by 6th hours, udah mula.... sakit
Lepas makan ubat, kena tido, kalau tak drug tak berkesan & jawabnya? Sakit!
Kadang-kadang berjalan pon terhuyung-hayang, pegi kerja tak drive keta. Takut membahayakan orang lain.

I'm having an ear infection on the right ear. Doc said ada jerawat & dah bernanah... Subhanallah... Ya Rabb.... andai ini ujian untuk meluluhkan segala dosa-dosaku, aku redha... Berikan aku kekuatan untuk mengharungnya. Amiiin.

Experiments

I got this urge to write down my feelings & thoughts sometimes. And most of the time posting it on FB is not appropriate. Since a few days back a friend of mine who had just viewed this blog said that it is an awesome blog, I've decided to jump-start this blog again (for the 4th? time).

What I have in mind now is about experiment. Trigerred by an awesome lunch of pizzas and deli wing (leftovers from last night dinner at Pizza Hut), reheated in Tupperware's CrystalWave bowl in a microwave, I was thinking of $$$ that I can save if I cook things for lunch. No driving back home, no need to tapau food, sit at the office enjoying food while reading the newspapers online.

Then, the train of thoughts carried me to nutrition and freshness of the home-made food. Then to freshness of veges reheated in microwave oven. And finally to googling recipes for 'cooking vegetables in microwave' as a solution to freshness VS time using office oven.

All of these reminded me of a long buried memories of writing an experiment log book. Yeah... I'm THAT nerd as to have an experiment log book of my own apart from the science lab experiment log book. Hehehe... It was a 100-pages B4 sized book that was covered in blue sugar paper and plastic wrapped. The binding was decorated with a leftover Japanese wrapping paper in beige with rainbows on it. Pity I don't have a picture of it.

Currently thinking of documenting any experiments I have in mind in that kind of book.

Suk Sabai Thai Spa at Village @Enstek

Still feeling slightly sore from the massage that I underwent yesterday... Sigh... For RM50 it was really worth it! God willing the one week long muscle strain at my right shoulder & neck had vanished altogether. The only thing left is a newly found muscle tension on the left shoulder. Probably coz I lifted a 5kg Dynamo without using any cart at Alamanda Carrefour right after the massage!

Regret that one..

Back to the massage, that was the first time I've ever been to a Thai massage parlor. They use a very unique technique where the masseur was using all of her body & muscle to massage. Pushing, pulling & pressing.

Before I go further, I think I should describe Suk Sabai. Owned by a couple of Malay-Thai muslims the small spa had been operated for about 10 months in Bandar Enstek at an area called "Village" which is actually a rows of shoplots there. The spa is situated next to a clinic & a restaurant (someone told me that the Tomyam at this restaurant is not bad).

Upon entering the spa, you'll need to take off your shoes, there's a waiting bench as well as a row of chairs for foot massage. You'll be asked to sit at a small corner to wash off the grimes & dust at the feet. This will be done by the staff. Your feet will be massaged with somekind of scrub (I forgot to ask).

For a full body massage, you'll be asked to changed into their 100% cotton t-shirt (can say T-shirt Pagoda la!) and a traditional Thai baggy pants. Then the massage will begin...

In my case, it started with both my feet, legs up to the joints. She pressed both my hip joints for about 20 seconds slightly after starting & right before she finished the leg massage. I'm guessing it's to check the blood flowrate coz usually for a healthy person it should be pumping quite steadily.

Then it comes to the hands & then she'll ask you to turn over (initially you'll start with lying down). This is where the really painful part came by (well at least in my case). The back massage started okay, comparing it to when she massaged my leg near the thigh, I thought that was nothing... then when she started the neck & shoulder, it was really painful!! Almost got me peeing there. Haha!! No wonder Hafiz's sister cried during the foot massage :p

It was like feeling someone, grabbing... no, grabbing is a handful thing, lesser pain when you're grabbing. It's like pinching the veins at the neck, then pulling it. Yeoooowwwww!!!! And all nearly about 5-6 veins all along both right & left side of the neck. Sheesshhh I thought she's going to pinch my carotid veins. I was really sure I'm dying yesterday :p

But it was good altogether. Worth my RM50. I just wished that I wasn't feeling so heroic that I lifted the heavy bottle of detergen. Huhuu now I think I strained my left shoulder.. Sigh... Another trip to Suk Sabai soon. Hehehehe

I've been feeling... resentful towards my job lately. Not good. Am I being choosy? At the bottom of world recession right now, having problems at work is not good. *Sigh*

I am awake at 3 am tonight and couldn't stop thinking of work, what's outstanding, what's bugging me (all those very irritating people at work) & try to rationalize the job hunting I've been starting... well, it should be "the job hunting I haven't stop since F&NCC".

Everyone of you must be wondering what on earth a "sitemap" is for when you visited any website that was designed by a respective web designer. A sitemap is actually NOT for human to view but more for a web crawlers to go through in order for "them" to recognize and establish your site. It may sound a little bit too technical but you can actually do this. Here I would like to quote a little bit of what Scott Raven said in his Easy Traffic Now: Your Definitive Guide to Traffic Generation;

"Site maps are basically a file that shows the entire structure, including linking, of your entire website. Google has a service where you can submit your site map directly to them in much the same way you submit your site to the search engines. It does require you to have a site map in XML format, but you can find site map generators all over the net. To submit a site map to Google, simply create an account with Google Site Maps and submit the link to your site map. Google will give you a file name that you must upload to your site in the root folder. All you do is open up Notepad and click “save as.” Copy the file name exactly as Google gives it to you and then change the “file type” to html. Once you save this file, upload it to your site and tell Google that it is completed. Google will verify the file and your site map is submitted. That’s it. Very easy."

Maybe easier said than done for most people who are still a bit blur as to what I'm talking. Anyway, I've received an e-mail this morning from Jayde saying that as of April 11th, you no longer has to manually submit your sitemap to search engines.

"Last fall, the major search engines agreed on a sitemaps format. You can now add a simple line to your robots.txt file and let the engines know where your sitemap document resides on your site. Just include the following line in your robots.txt file and you should be all set:

Sitemap: http://www.yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml

Robots.txt has traditionally been used in a more prohibitive fashion - by telling search engine spiders where not to go on your site. This latest sitemaps implementation of robots.txt however is telling the spiders where TO go."

1. Buying e-mail list - no matter how cheap it seems $29.90 for 100,000 emails or whatever, don't buy it. Because...

You'll be a spammer - strictly unacceptable in some countries
The e-mails could be obsolete or several emails own by the same people

2. Advertise at free advertisement site, unless it is really an established one.
3. Buy traffic - because usually it is not a targetted traffic (i.e. targetted to those who are really searching for products such as what you're selling)

So, I hope some of these will help.

My boss is officially retired and his last day was on Friday 30th March 2007. Now I'm all alone as the highest authority under this subdivision of Operation namely Production Services.

Sounds so GRAND?? Not really.

For one thing the salary is not so grand... the title is just an executive... but handling all managerial responsibility. I have to sign and apporve the leave for subordinates, clean up all their messes, plan and approve for OT, and it doesn't ends there. Today I have to sign the utilities bills for production. The XXX,XXX.00 bills and responsibility scared the hell out of me.

But I still consider myself lucky. Because I have another boss (quite handsome arr, but really strict one... another reminder of the ever intimidating Dr. Rozainee, hahah) to guide through, who understands that I'm soooo greeeeeeeen and also another 'boss' to help me. And a quote to live by... Remember, HAPPINESS IS WITHIN YOURSELF! So...

Today's topic is GLORY & FAME. I'm currently out of ideas so I'll make this quick.

It's always surprising how just a little bit of publicity will either push you to glory or your downfall. And the grapevine system in our culture is so efficient that news can travel equally fast with the internet speed. I've been having a little bit of this fast-fame lately and truthfully it is a little bit suffocating for a person who doesn't like being in the limelight like me. Well, OK, everybody likes to be in the limelight but up to a certain degree. For me, there's nothing wrong with having your 15-minutes of fame like what Andy Warhol said, but if it involves your phone to ring profusely, your e-mail spammed and your privacy intruded, I really would prefer to be nobody. Then again... glory & fame won't last long. Because it keeps on spreading and growing until eventually the waves will fade.

It's been a mind blowing week for me at work. There are more troubles created by the workers because my boss is retiring and they heard that my company will extend him with contract. So they're doing everything they can to get rid of him permanently. Talk about strong spirit huh? But we as the management team has to hold on and fight back as well, but fight it in such a way that is appropriate - unlike what the unions did as of now.

I thank God because I have something to fall back on, to go back to whenever I feel so frustrated with my work. I keep it in mind that I have objectives to achieve, that I have to be strong - emotionally... because a strong mind, a strong spirit will succeed in anything it wills.

Content is King...

...in driving traffic to your site. No matter what type of website you're building. Either it is a blog, a sales letter, a shopping site or whatever it is... CONTENT IS KING. Even if you know how to pull new visitors to your site through search engine optimisation, or using whatever backhand tactics, does that going to pull in the visitors for the second round? Remember, what you're looking for are quality visitors. Those who visited for the first time, who came back and eventually who will buy your products.

In order for you to make sure that your content can pull visitors to come back again and again, you have to make sure that you design your article in a way that will impress the reader with both the article, and more importantly, with you, the author. This is particularly true if you're building a blog. So, in my post today, I'm going to talk about blog/newsletter articles first. Mainly because shopping site are more dependent on designs rather than text. We'll focus on text for today.

So, how are you going to design a "Quality Article" ?

1. Make sure that you create a compelling headline - to grab your readers' attention.

- Make sure that the headline is targeted for the type of reader you want to attract, so you have to identify your target first. It has been proven that you only have a few seconds to grab your prospects attention, so you have to make sure that the headline SPEAKS TO THEM. Make sure your headline can answer this question from your reader - "What's in it for me?"

2. Give away enough basic information to help solve one piece of the reader's problem, but to keep back some information and leave at least one piece of their problem unsolved.

Build this technique into your articles. Make them informative, but leave the reader asking for more. This gives you an opportunity to offer them even more information via your resource box on your article.

Once they have followed the link in your resource box, make sure that you capture their name and email address, so that you can continue marketing to them once they have completed their initial visit to your site.

3. Built trust - follow up by email with additional information that they will find
interesting

4. Once you have completed your article, submit it to several article directories, and start building up your credibility as an author.

OK, listen up! For those of you who had bought a domain name... now get your credit card ready again to BUY your hosting! Remember, no sacrifices, no gain!!

Now, a hosting account is basically like renting for your apartment. You don't own the house but the whole content, your furniture, TV, etc. are yours. Since you don’t have a server to host a website, so you have to rent that server space from a company. Your Own Domain

If you are going to try and make a living online, you are going to need a website right? But how are you going to get one? The first step you need to take is to register a Domain Name.

A domain name is what comes after the “http://www.” in any internet address. A domain can have lots of different extensions, such as “.com”, “.ws”, “.net”, “.org” and so on. When choosing your domain name, I would suggest trying to get one that ends in “.com”. After all, a lot of times people will not remember the extension and will just use “.com” as it is the most common one to use. So, if you had www.YourDomain.org, and someone else had www.YourDomain.com, there is a good chance that they could end up typing in the .com address and go to the other site rather than yours. This is NOT good!

If you can’t think of a domain to use just yet, try using your name! It is becoming more and more common place for online marketers to have their own site based on their name or a common username that they have been using for years over the internet (like my "thinktankertwo" - I bought a domain name called thinktankertwo.com last week). On this site they can have links to all their different sites. So even if someone doesn’t know a particular site of yours, but knows your name, they can go to www.YourName.com and read all about you and your products.
So where do you register a domain name? One of the cheapest places to register your domain is www.NameCheap.com and their domains start at about $8.88 per year, or even cheaper if you register them for a longer period of time. So go get yours today!

Your first sale. Your amount of traffic to your site. These 2 can be your momentum. ANYTHING can be your momentum, even negative results. You just need to think it that way.

Question Yourself

I had once came accross a quote that sound something like this: Knowledge and information is to be questioned, not received without any argument.

The older educational system and Malaysian mindset were so against this quote mainly because we will be bantered at if we asked too much question. This attitude is by far the worst murderer to intelligence and innovation.

When you received a piece of information, you should question it either it is correct or wrong, is it rellevant or not, does it apply to you, etc. I've always like to question myself these 2 questions when I'm studying or learning something new:

"What is..."
"What if..."

The "what is" question is the basic of gathering knowledge. You asked a lot of question when you were little, to get to know things. In this case, even the name will help you understand. (Did you know that our beloved prophet Nabi Adam A.S.'s mu'jizat is the name of things in this world? Without that we probably can never understand the things here, can never develop any language, etc.)

Whereas the "what if" questions are what spawn invention. When you're asking yourself "What if I do this? What happened?" You're basically trying on a new way to do things. It is essential in speeding up the learning process because the answers to this question might have already be there even before you asked it. The best part is that since you yourself think it out without the need to be spoon-fed, you understand it by intuition, better.

Hi all!
I received an e-mail from Sabri (SaifulSham's Team) this morning. Quite a long one :D He gave me a name that I should look up to for copywriting job, so I dropped the guy a few lines. The offer sure is tempting but I'm so afraid that I won't have the time for it. Especially this month. Because a friend is getting engaged and that I have to prepare the hantaran (surprise! Apart from having fast fingers to type my articles away, I do have creative fingers afterall ;p) --> I was thinking of setting up an online shop for wedding favours or maybe services for weddings, but thinking of shipping all those bulky gifts scares me off ;)

Anyway that guy's name is Colbert Low. Syia (another SS Team's protege) got her $$ from doing works for this guy. So any newbie interested in copywriting, can just google this guy (you might not get his e-mail though, so I suggest you go to saudagar.com and subscribe to their e-zine to get this info).

DPForum: Up until now I've posted 18 posts.

Today I joined another forum The SSTeam's VIP Lounge. Posted a thread (on reputation) and I think I posted 3 posts there. There are very few people online (mainly coz there are very few protege and the list is building I hope), very few posts. I think the protege are too shy ;p Hopefully I can contributed more there later. But as I wrote just now. I'm going to be busy for another 3 weeks (probably needs to add another 3 weeks after that 'coz my brother's getting married).

As I've mentioned in several posts back, I'll be assigned to a new position. I received the employment letter late afternoon... guess what? The whole employment letter is so full of b******. I daresay that our old contract is much better than this one. Sigh... you see what happened if you work under a boss EVEN in a giant company such as mine.

So every single students out there, every single working person, start creating your own company! Let's do online businesses!! Forget about earning a fixed amount of money each month doing soooo many things and dealing with a lot of pressure. Let's start earning infinite amount of salary and only then the loadssss of work and pressure will be worthwhile.

By the way, I've posted yet another new gadget review to be approved and posted at IdealGadget. Let's wait for what Mr. Liew said tomorrow morning regarding my previous post :D At DigitalPoint Forum I've managed to post 16 posts altogether (lost count how many for today's posts), it's kinda fun actually and you REALLY get a whole lot of tips on how to do IM there. Oh, did I mentioned that I got ONE GREEN yesterday?? That green is for reputation and there are 15 points altogether. Only my second day after joining in, one green, 16 posts, 5 PMs. Looking good.

I guess the pressure of a lousy salary is pushing me to the limits of IM.

Such a lovely Monday morning for those who have to wake up and face the morning traffics and being late on the first day of the week! *sarcastic*

Anyway just to update and log in some tips for new beginner.

Yesterday (Sunday, 4th March 07) I joined a website development workshop by the SaifulSham’s Team. One of the Fast Track course packaged along with the RBDDI Seminar. It is very basic, suitable for beginner (who really know nothing). They’ll teach starting from scratch. Mainly on how to make a sales letter webpage using Microsoft FrontPage. A compilation CD of all the softwares (these are FREE given to you) they used to make an e-book, to generate forms, to create auto responder, etc. are given away.

The workshop is considered slow to some people especially those who had already have the basics of computing, that is why I stressed out the fact that it is suitable for beginner who really know nothing. However there are some small things that a higher level of user can grab as tips to smoothen out their operation.

Most importantly, by attending the workshop I’m able to broaden my network of internet marketers to other fields. Networking is very important especially when you just starting up on something new. Already I’ve found someone to discuss with regarding the project I’m focusing on.

In gist, today's tips is always make a time to learn something new each day. At least an hour or so. Just pure study about IM. You'll never know that even the smallest tips you found could help you to achieve better traffics, etc. NEVER think anything is too simple or too low for your standard of knowledge.

Digital Point Forum

Currently I'm working on a project (result after a month) and this project requires me to sign up with Digital Point Forum. As of today I've posted 1 new thread and 5 posts altogether. I'm hoping to achieved at least 5 posts a day within an hour per day (hey... my time is limited OK... I have a real work in the real world).

Part-Time Blogger

Since I'm going to change the content for this blog to internet marketing, I think I need to pursuade my readers on my own achievements and luck in the industry. Hehe... so I'm going to start by what I had achieved so far (which is just a tid bit).

Another reason for the need of 'boasting' about my achievement here is that... I'm a very forgetful person :p I need some sort of a log to what I have done, what I get paid for. Since BLOG is initially for logging things like a diary or a journal, so let's fully utilise it. Besides, human need to look back sometimes to see how far they've gone, what kind of mistakes they've done, etc.

As of today I had finished writing up on a review (supposedly it's a gadget review, but I just cannot restrain myself from writing about something else there, but it is still considered a review). It's on iPhone interface built for pocket PC (PPC). You can view it later once it is approved by the webmaster (hope he will, coz it's certainly out of the context of the site), but you can still check out other gadget reviews by clicking this link! If it is approved, then it's my 6th reviews so far at this site.

What I get from doing these reviews for him? USD 1 per review. Not much?? Eh... it's a start la man... At least I got something out of the internet (unlike you) :p Besides... USD 1 x 3.50 laaa in RM...

I was thinking of revving up my pace on writing the reviews, so if anyone found anything cool to talk about, send me the URL!

Now you wanna know where I hooked on such job? I used to hang out here. Then I came upon an advertisement asking to be a part-time blogger. So I sent an e-mail and later on the person asked me to send a review as an example before he actually signed me up with his site. Basically that's the story and my priceless review on Motorola L6 is what get me the job (thanks to my boyfriend for lending it to me for a week!)

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to explain the basic definition of Internet Marketing (IM) since some people REALLY has no idea what it is...

IM is not (just) about opening a store online and selling hard, real physical stuffs over the internet. It's about making $$$ online - LEGITIMATELY.

It's not any MLM program, or get-rich quickly schemes, etc. It's purely how creative you are in utilising the internet to gain money. Not only through pulling people's attention to visit your site and eventually buy your stuff/click your advertisement, but up on how to make $$ without ever needing any blog, website or even initial fundings.

There ARE a lot of ways for you to start earning your pennies on the net and here at ThinkTankerTwo_TheBlog, I'll give you some hints and tips on how to start. Best of all, these tips are FREE! IM: Newbie | Setting a special e-mail account

Dearest all,

I’m going to start from the very beginning, so I apologise if any of you who’re reading this feels that I am going too slow with the tips and all (it’s a newbie section anyway, so buzz off pro!).

What you want to do first is to set up your own e-mail account that you can use for your online business. It is better to have a separate one that you can use just for business purposes because later on you’ll found out that you had subscribe to so many listings that it literally blocked you out of all your personal mails. So better be prepared and start separating your business and personal e-mails.

Oh, make sure that you get a username that is catchy & easy enough to remember and if possible, use the same username of the new e-mail for any access to any forum you joined. This is to create identity and branding. If you're planning to set up a business selling things or services online, it is better if you can plan out what it is and set up a company name - and use the company name for your e-mail account username.

One thing you should do with any e-mail account you use is to put a signature file at the end of it to advertise your business or product. This way you get free advertising with every email you send. If someone gets that email and forwards it to someone else, they too will see your signature file, and soon it can spread virally across the globe. Even if you still didn’t have any business or product to sell you still can advertise your personal blog’s URL, or an affiliate link. If you have never joined any affiliate program, just click here to start joining one!

An email signature should not try and sell the product, it should just give enough information to wet the appetite of the reader so that they will visit the site. Take the time to change your signature right now, so that it will begin working for you immediately.

Been a long time (1 week??) since I last updated this blog and somehow I've been feeling the pressure hehehe... most probably from the seminar I attended. Such a cool and informative seminar. Altogether it was good although 60% of what was presented I've already know from the information and e-books I gathered and invested in. But those other 40% are priceless and that's what makes it so good.

Congratulations to the SaifulSham's Team!

Now, I'm thinking of turning this blog into a good place to gain information on internet marketing. Something to size up everything on what I've been up to on that part of my hectic schedule. Probably on tips and such but 1st, I need to change my header into something that contain the keywords of things I should focus on... (hint hint).

Oh, by the way... I'll sign the employment letter next Monday (hopefully) and I'll be taking over the Production Services (i.e.: the Syrup Room Manager position who's retiring soon, as an executive). Such a load of responsibilities and I'm already freaking out! Dear friends! I need your support!

My thoughts on the 18th Feb 2007

These are what I wrote in a notepad on the 18th Feb 2007...

"What a tiring day…. Today is another round-the-world day for the whole family. My whole family (except my brother in-law, has to work) went to Segamat to meet the family of my sis in-law to-be. Discussed about the date and plan for the wedding of my brother (My 3rd sibling). Luckily my eldest brother and family (as in his wife and my nephew!!) wanted to tag along, so we waited for them at the Jami’ Mosque in Segamat. My poor nephew has a fever… didn’t smile much (but he likes me the most, so he smiled and laughed at me whenever he liked it la… :p)
After the whole deal, we went to Batu Pahat Mall. Sigh…so tired already and we mistakenly took the longest way to reach there. So we reached there around 7 pm. Shopped a bit (my sis wanted to look at the kitchen cabinet set, bla, bla)

Then I saw a former collegue in Sime Darby Engineering!! Wa…. So I just messaged him, and it turned out that he;s working in Singapore now!! At a marine company, doing designing. Lucky you, Adi!! He lives in Pasir Gudang, so I took the chance of asking for a place for my brother as well (he;s gonna start working at MSE in March).

Just now I just finished reading the e-zine from SaifulSham Team. So cool… I picked up a quote I like (and probably can be used for Hafiz’s company’s profile… oopss!! He doesn’t like it whenever I mentioned about him here… OK… so let’s erase that…). All in all, a tiring day, but near the end of the day I managed to do a little bit of work, some ideas jotted down, some nestling inside my head. To be continued tomorrow. Oopss I... Did IT Again!!

A friend told me today... "Do you always buy big stuffs when you're bored?" Hahahahhahahah... not always Aniza... when the opportunity of a good bargain is there, I just grab it by the horns!

It was soooooooooooooooo boring today at work. There were just 3 staffs including me at the Manufacturing Dept., Kak Wati the secretary, Mr. A and me. I managed to go through the day without going crazy, checking e-mails, e-mailing those who had the same bad fortune to work this week, preparing for tuition class tonight and science assessment test next week, wrote a report on my student's developement, did the flowchart for the process at the production line, helped Kak Wati to wrapped the wedding present for a collegue, and more reports... Basically those are my activities today.

My mom called around 11 am asking wether I want to buy a washing machine. One analog fully-auto cost RM XX and another one digital fully-auto top loader cost RM XX. Damn cheap if you ask me... Doesn't even cost a quarter of 1k. So I asked my dad to purchase it, tranfered the $$ into his account and spent the rest of the day at the office feeling so exhilirated that I had butterflies in my stomach. Around 4:30 pm my dad called, told me they had sent the machine at home and he tried and said it's perfectly OK and they'll send it to me THIS WEEKEND!!! Double happiness!!!! Yay!!!! And double the trouble in my stomach... maybe it was that bihun sup utara I ate for lunch.

So I just couldn't contain my happiness that I smsed my housemates about the good news :D And smsed Aniza... and that's where I got that reply from her. Heheh... So Aniza, if you want any good bargains... stick with me. I'm infectious with discounts and great bargains :p

I heard Mr. A told Kak Wati that the Chinese believed that the 4th day of the Chinese Piggy Year is the best day to work if you want to grab all the luck you want for the whole year. Maybe he said that because his boss (which is my boss as well) didn't approve of his leave for these 3 days, but in my case, such God-given opportunity had crossed, it's just hard to let it by ;p

Kluang Railway Coffee

My shoulder's still sore... another part of my body that is also sore is my heart (metaphorically). And eyes... (something to do with the heart). So sore that I've nearly forgotten about the pictures I took when I was in Kluang last month.

We (as in my parents & I) went to the ever so famous cafe called the Kluang Railway Coffee. Since I didn't drink any coffee (such a spoiler), I ordered 2 sets of its home-made kaya toast and a teh tarik. Felt like heaven for a while there.

Everything, the ambiance is still the same as when it was 20 years ago (as per what my Papa claimed it was) except for the obvious signs of aging of the building. But the multi-layered peeled-off paint, the rusty chicken-coop wire that acts as a gigantic windows to the cafe, the low kopitiam-style tables all add to the nostalgic feeling of the place.

What it feels like to be here... when the train comes??

Not to mention the food. I felt like I relive the good old days where everyone knows each other, where crime is defined by not greeting/respecting your elders. It is a very good place to recollect yourself. It felt like a home away from home, especially on a rainy day.

That's my mom on the right!

I kept on hearing my dad telling me that there used to be an Indian uncle selling nasi lemak and curry puffs on the train (anyway he always took the train from here to SDAR in Tanjung Malim in 1960's). He repeated the story every time we went here ;p I guess that's how I'll be in 30 years time... reliving the histories of my life to my children and grandchildren.

I'm beaten (physically & mentally) with workloads and relationship problems as of now. But looking at these pictures of this particular place... I can smell the coffee (I did sipped a bit from my dad's cup heheh) and remember the best of times... LIFE isn't always that bleak. Look for the silver lining behind that cumulonimbus cloud! ;p

Altogether it was a very hectic morning with a pack schedule to meet everyone and tried to satisfy everyone's needs... but in the end my needs wasn't satisfied... The damn doctor (who I've made an appointment with about 2 weeks ago, conveniently forget to call my number "20" and thus made me wait for TWO hours there) fell asleep when he massaged my neck!! And it still hurts like before. The only difference is that now I have a patch of foul-smelling 'koyok' on my shoulder!! God knows what's the concoction.

Driving Class - 2

Tiring! Hurting all my left bodyparts! But it was fun! heheh... Today I learnt how to side-park a car + the continuation of last week 3-point turning. I drove quite an old Kancil that has a hard clutch (countless engine stalls!!! Yikes!!) + a difficult gear to deal with (asik-asik tak masuk gear... naik lenguh tangan).

It was drizzling a bit when I get the hold of the whole thing. Let's give myself a round of applause 'coz I didn't hit a single pole!! YaaaaaaaaayyyyY!!! The only thing that sucks is the clutch. Still had trouble controlling the clutch. Haihhhh... I need a car to practise....

Productive Week??

This week has been a tiring week but I'm very satisfied with it. First the start of the tuition class (teaching Science and Malay Language to a very passive girl is very stressful. Both of the subjects requires communication and she's almost like a handicap, a mute).

Then the coming together of our (as in Mak & I) business plan. Heheh... SOON, we'll become the new entrepreneurs (at least up until end of february). Sooo excited. Plus this Sunday I'll be going to SSF! Cool place & I just love being there (even though for browsing). If you don't believe me, visit this place!

Meeting day!

8:30 am Supposed to be a meeting with my big boss... but he was late. So we just proceed to the 9 am meeting without discussing about our 'future' in F&N.

9:00 am Aspect-Impact Analysis. People present; a representative from Coke, our team leader the Environmental Manager, the Quality Assurance manager. Overall the presentation was Ok, several tips & improvement to be made, which later translate to more work lah. Meeting ended at 12:50 pm.

2:30 pm Refrigeration system training

4:00 pm Taste Test (ehem... confidential)

5:05 - 5.55 pm Attended a presentation done by the Practical Trainees. Interesting & refreshing my memory on thermodynamics :p

All n all today was a meeting day. Tiring but I pulled through. Coupled with the great news I received this passed few days, I total it as an awesome week! Although there are only RM 7.57 in my wallet as of now... hehehehehhehe...

Motorola L6 Review

First impression: Very thin! But WIDE and it comes in PINK (I HATE pink). But let's not be biased OK. The WIDE size of it makes it fit comfotably in anyone's palm especially gentlemen although the design (thinness & lightweightness) might appeal more to the ladies. The very thin but sturdy metal metallic (silver, baby blue or neon pink) housing is the main key to its thin design that is envied. And oh yeah... looking at the features in its package and comparing it with the offered price... Whoaaa you have one very affordable phone!

However... further scutinisation shows...

Display: is STN instead of TFT which is only capable to display up to 65K colors only so the display is pretty dim and blur. Any thoughts on authentic color photos should be forgotten. The low resolution also made the round corners of a picture a little bit rough.

Camera: Another weak link although the 4x zoom might made your eyes widen a bit. But don't be fooled! The zoom only produced photo "crops". As for the maximum resolution, the camera only provides you with a 0.31 megapixel thus the picture produced will be slightly blur and hazy especially if it is underexpose. However, it is sufficient for basic photo-taking or during those emergencies when you don't have your digital camera at hand (like involving yourself in a car accident :p). Despite all the weaknesses, Motorola L6 provides us with quite a big range of photo effects for a phone camera (e.g. white/color combination, sephia, etc.) and these visual effects can be used for the video camera.

Memory: Motorola L6 is very rich in features. With its capability of storing up to 500 contact numbers, storing MP3, downloading screensavers, images, sounds and animation the non-expandable built-in memory of 10MB somehow made me think either those designers & engineers in Motorola came from the same company or not. It is just NOT SUFFICIENT. Somehow it renders all the great features almost useless.

Speaker: This is one of the L6 strength. The 3D sound produced is very good although the placement of the speaker at the lower back of the phone made is a pity because the sound will be muffled or sharpen based on the surface the phone is put onto.

Keypad/Messaging: As an avid user of SMS, I was appalled and frustrated with Motorola L6. For me, this is the weakest link of all. The design of the keypad requires user to add more pressure while typing their message and after a while you tend to hurt your fingers. Due to this, you aren't able to type with one hand (or it is very hard even if you manage to do so) and if you cover your phone with a crystal casing (the ever current fashion for a phone), you are likely to type wrongly especially the characters at the '*' and '#' buttons. That is just the keypad. I found that the sofware speed to be very slow especially when you are publishing long messages. This makes it hard for you to edit it if you are in a hurry. However, the ability of the software to allow users to key in by character was a little bit consoling although this little facility is not available when you are using the phonebook to search for contacts. Searching phonebook & renaming files in your multimedia folders is done by string characters - meaning you have to search the appropriate string of characters to match your contacts' name or word. Such a troublesome way especially if you are in a hurry to contact an important person.

Conclusion: All in all Motorola L6 is good for those users who make frequent calls and use basic fundtions of a phone. The package twinned with the very affordable price make it an eye catcher for these kinds of users. However I would suggest that this phone be suitable for a second phone only.

Happy new year to all!!!! Yes I'm back! Actually after the new year I had published another blog (ThinkTankerTwoTown) where I'll be ranting on DIY, gifts, safety, health & environment. Huuuu quite a heavy topic eh? Hope I can keep on updating it regularly. Kind of hard to maintain 2 blogs at a time.

This blog will still be the 1st love... heheh... my life diary (if I dare to bare to all here). New year was great for me. I had a new haircut! Yeah.... a bit tom boyish. Remember the hair problems I've been having? Well... It was THAT bad that I decided to cut it.

O yeah.. I had received the Loreal elseve products I ordered with my fwen... (hey, I got discounts for all Loreal products all year round, anybody interested, PM me!). The mask was just great. I'll be doing the review on that sometime soon. I had just used it twice, so it's not gonna be fair for a review now.

New Year Resolution. I don't have any. Resolutions should be made daily. So that's it.

Printer Breakdown Day

It's been a boring day... what's with the start of the Aspect - Impact Analysis... huuuuuhhhh sooo bored & nobody's there.

I think today is a printer breakdown day. My printer head was clogged. I tried cleaning it off with methanol, tried printing but to no avail. The cartridge is fine, there is ink, but it got smudge all over in between the circuit & the nozzle. So, yes, have to change to new one.

As for the printer at the office, the feeder paper got stuck! Haih....

Talk about feeder... can anybody explain what's an RSS Feed??? I can't seem to understand it even though I've read it so many times before!

Lone Ranger

This feeling stops for a while when I met a special someone.

However, I realised that I'm too dependent on him and the world that they started to see me in a different way (sneers, ingnorance, etc.). So I guess I'm back to my old self. Back when I was a lone ranger and only depend on Him. When you rely on Him, He'd never sneers at you and say that you're taking advantage of others or forget that I should be included in any decision making process. Most importantly He'd never tried to ask what I had contributed in return for all the favours...

I'm on my own.

Confuscious Confusion...

Seawal 8:30 am tadi aku dah menunggu di depan Masjid Al-Hidayah tuk Cikgu (aku panggil Pakcik jer...) Karim pick me up there (Hish... apesal tetiba aku guna bahasa Melayu nih? ni mesti sebab puisi jiwang karat tu masih bersisa dalam template blog aku nih :p). Today is the day for the 6 hours of theoretical/practical class for driving!

After quite a long wait (usual-lah about 1 hour) baru la kelas bermula... The instructor introduced himself as "MEC" wallahua'lam is it his real name or not. But he IS such a confusing teacher. As a matter of fact, today is full of confusing people & things. The analogy he used was so confusing that if one stops listening for a while, one cannot get the meaning of what he is trying to relay. For example he used his (so-called) name MEC in a sentence to make us remember the 6 major errors done by students. The sentence goes like this; "MEC Dah Tak Suka", so the 6 errors are MECDTS which are actually for M=meter (as in > 50 km/hr), E=enjin (stalled, etc.), C=cermin (forgot to check the rear & side mirrors), D=divider, T=traffic lights, S=simpang. Can you catch it or not?

Altogether it was so confusing that we paid so much attention to it that we remember almost all of the lessons (huh, I guess his objective of catching our attention paid off afterall). After that it was the other 3 hours of workshop class where we were tought how to service the car, change tires, lubricating oil, etc. I was in a class of 10 people (7 females + 3 males) with a Kancil and an Indian instructor (quite old, around 48-55). You can imagine how the instructor would talk. Indian-slang Malay mixed with the technical terms of the engine. Sooooooooo confusing! I thank God so much that I've learnt about engine when I was in Form 3, learnt about it again when I took NGV class with Dr. Zul in UTM, thank God 'coz I've been exposed to servicing a car by my dearest Papa since I was a child. And thank God again for His wonderful gift of a great intuition and brain. Or else I don't think I'll survive that class 'coz I won't be able to understand what the hell the instructor was babbling about.

All in all, although I'm tired (wrecking my brain to max limit to understand everything) and hungry (yeah, thinking took a LOOOOOTTTT of efforts, that's why you rarely see a huge/fat/ college professor), I came back home with a lot of new information for me to use in another 2 weeks... on the track. Huhuhuhu... couldn't wait!!

And talk about confusion... I am currently reading 3 books (my usual habit ever since I started working). 1st book is One for The Money my Evanovich. This one is an e-book so I only read it during lunch hours at the office or when I really had nothing tangible to read on hand. So far as expected of the Stephanie Plum bounty hunter series, it was hilarious. Some confusion in there but still understandable by the ever so complex mind of mine. I really wish I had a PDA or a tablet so that I can read the e-book anywhere because I had nearly 500 (I think) titles of e-book that I downloaded over the net. It's hard to read them all or even one without a computer and a Microsoft Reader (it's in Lit. format).

Another book is a Malay novel called Rengsa by Zharulnizam Shah. Just started this one last night. The introduction was a bit confusing but after a few more pages I started to understand the whole picture if not the motive of murder (O yeah... I tend to like mysteries, murder & science. Romance I layan juga.... hey, I have TWO sides of brain to satisfy, OK!).
And the most confusing of all is the novel by Michael Crichton called The Andromeda Strain. I bought this piece at the Payless Books last week (you can check out the rest of my collection here) for RM 2.40 and I'm beginning to think that this one worth every damn cents. Well, to tell you the truth Michael Crichton novel made your money worth it (even if you buy it firsthand at about RM 50). I'm quite a big fan of his novels (not him). Actually I just started this book this morning while waiting for Cikgu Karim to pick me up and continued reading during the breaks & boring minutes I was at the institute. I'm currently at the 3rd chapter & I already found a binary code to crack. Fuuuuhhhh... Really exciting and mind boggling + yessss... confusing. For simple minded people who are looking for light reading material... don't ever touch Michael Crichton's. Or 2 pages you'll doze off to lala land. Heheheh...

LULUS UJIAN BERKOMPUTER KPP!

Yay!! After the long wait (more than an hour after registering), I finally finished taking the KPP Computer Test and passed at 46/50. Got 4 questions wrong in the B section. Hehhe... So, tomorrow will be the starting of the real driving lessons! Fuuuhh... wish me luck!

Thank God today is pay day. I'm nearly out of $ (my worn out wallet had only RM 8.86 in it for about an hour). I usually kept extra RM10 hidden somewhere in there for emergencies but that emergency $ was also used (yeah, emergency la, no more money & still have to pay for taking the test maaa). So I've settled all the PTPTN, savings & extra $ for the driving lessons. Then the fund transfer for Ibu & Papa at home online. Unfortunately my printer's nozzles stuck, so I didn't get to print my receipt like usual. Even after cleaning it up with alcohol swabs (actually it was a facial toner hehehe) it is still not working (maybe I can cilok some methanol from the QC lab next Tuesday to REALLY clean it... hmmm). Or more money to change that as well... *sigh...*

My Damaged Hair

Good morning!

Such a great Friday after a good night rest (yeah la... I was so damn tired yesterday that the moment my head hit the pillow I dozed off). Feels refreshed though there's a worry that keeps nudging at my mind (I haven't finished revising for the computer test for KPP (Kurikulum Pendidikan Pemandu)). Heheheh...

Early morning I was given a short training on the Aspect & Impact on the Environmental. Fuuuuhhhh... this is going to be my next big project. I think I'll be staying late for work next month to finish off this project. Basically we're handling the studies for the whole plant (as in F&NCC Beverage) and the administration bit as well (as in F&NCC Malaysia S/B).

Well anyway that's not the main topic for today. Today I'm going to brag about my hair and its problems. If you read this article, you'll know that I've been having hair structure problems since more than a year ago. It started to sorta bear fruit (heheh) like grainy and all that. The popular reason for this is to contain your hair (like inside a scarf, etc.) when it is damp. But I don't think that's the real problem.

I've been using Pantene for Dry Hair all my life. Then after I finished my degree I shifted to Rejoice. I used it like 3 times & felt that it is REALLLLYYY not suitable for my hair. Dried it off, becomes lifeless & all. Then I stopped and back to Pantene up until 2 weeks ago. If all of you notice, Pantene had changed its packaging a few times before. For an international manufacturing company, changing packaging does not mean changing packaging per se. Usually there are changes in formulation, ingredients, names and policy as well. For example, the Pantene for Dry Hair which was in a green labelled bottle had changed its name into Balance (or something like that) then recently it changed again (into new bottle with the dark blue cap, name changed too!). Although the packaging & name changed I still stupidly stick to the green bottle Pantene thinking that the formulation is the same. But it is essentially NOT because the aftereffects are different. After shampooing my hair usually feels like it is over dry. And the tutty fruity hair persist (if not getting worse).

So 2 weeks ago I changed to Loreal Elseve Anti-Breakage.

The first impression:

Smells (for shampoo & conditioner): great fruity smell, but while applying it smells like when you are in a hair salon. I've always hated that smell. However thank God after rinsing it off the smells revert back to its original. I figured it must be the chemical doing its job on the hair.

Lathering: The shampoo lather up quite good. But you still have to use quite a lot of quantity. As for the conditioner, it is not so milky and sticky as Pantene's (which is good) and it rinses off perfectly. Plus it spreads evenly even though you're only using a little bit amount of it.

Cleansing effects (shampoo): It cleanses off good, it does not made your hair feels like its been stripped off your scalp. However, I've been having this itchy scalp episode lately. Maybe because I used so little amount of the shampoo. These few days when I apply more quantity, I'm not having itchy scalp anymore. The conditioner just feels great. Even at the 1st application you can feel the difference of your hair. Feels smooth and all that.

Overall review: Altogether aside from several downside I'd still give this shampoo & conditioner 4 out of 5 stars! Hehehh... I'm still waiting to see either this shampoo will get rid of the fruity problem of my hair. Anybody who's trying to treat their damaged hair, use THIS!

P/s: I'll be trying the Smooth-Intense soon after I finished off the Anti-Breakage. So look forward for its review of the combination of Smooth-Intense shampoo & conditioner, Anti-Breakage masque.

Tired, exhausted, pancit day!

A very tiring end of the day... I was home at 8:30 pm tonight. When I finally arrived home I've no energy anymore. And to top it off BOTH the lights in the hall cannot be switched on. *sigh...* Life can get nasty sometimes...

I still have the KPP book to study because I'll be sitting for the computer test this Saturday at 8:30am. God... help me. Right now I just feel like dozing off. Thank God so much that tomorrow's Friday!! I love Friday so much! Plus I'll be having a long weekend! Yay!!! Think positive!

I haven't received any reply from Kak Min (she's a bag stockist). I told her that I want to go to KL with her to see (and maybe grab) some bags to start my business here (as in ONLINE). Maybe I'll call her up tomorrow. You guys just watch out ya!

I AM too upfront. When I'm commenting on others, I really say what I have in my mind. Everyone says so too. My parents for instance (they're like your most reliable 'mirror' of your own self!). Ibu selalu pesan, "Cakap jangan main sedap mulut aje... Jaga sikit hati orang" & I always ignore it. Well... sometimes I remember la those wisdom words but unfortunately tonight I forgot the talisman to good relationship - by being too upfront with my boyfriend.

I just told him that he's too... (this post has been edited after several consideration not to mention complaints by the subject).

Hmmm... "Honesty is the best policy" but being too honest you just get yourself into trouble. Like the 'carpool episode', I just complicated my life further *sigh...*

To my dearest Hafiz... I'm really sorry for what I've said that hurt you so... I'm in a mess and trying to gather my life back one by one... I hope you'll be patient with me. I love you!

Breast Cancer Detection

Did you guys heard the news (TV3's Buletin Utama; 18/12/06) last night? A breakthrough in detecting breast cancer apart from using mammograph - checking using your hair cells. It catched my attention (and alarmed it) so much because I am having this problem with my hair that I couldn't find any solution (nor the name for the hair problem) for it. The usual "rambut berbuah".

You might say "Alaaaa... tu sebab you suka pakai tudung masa rambut you basah2..." Bear in mind ladies... this rambut of mine started to 'bear fruits' during the looong hiatus of unemployment (where I rarely went out & thus rarely wear tudung). I've done a lot of things, cut it, change treatment, etc. Not working AT ALL. Scary... I did look up on it over the internet, no scientific name to the problem, no remedies.

So, when I heard about that news, I was pulled to do some research on it. Wonder if the problem actually lies elsewhere... And I found this;

Breast cancer screening made easy
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA. A team of Australian, American, and Japanese researchers report the development of a new, highly-accurate test for breast cancer. The test uses a single scalp or pubic hair and was found to be 100 per cent accurate in predicting the presence of breast cancer. The hair sample is examined by X-ray diffraction using synchrotron radiation. Hair samples from breast cancer patients exhibit a characteristic change in their X-ray scattering patterns. In one trial, 23 out of 23 hair samples from breast cancer patients showed the characteristic pattern while only four out of 28 samples from healthy women had an abnormal scattering pattern. The test was also found to be useful in identifying women who were at greater risk of developing breast cancer either because of the presence of a genetic mutation or because of a family history of breast cancer. This is probably the 1st research regarding the usage of hair to detect breast cancer. But on the other hand, after further research by several others, it was claimed that the link between hair cells & cancer cells is dubious because hair cells growth themselves are not fully studied. So?? I was left with nothing else but more things to worry... heheheh...

Books! Books!! And MORE BOOKS!

I've ALWAYS been hooked on books. Ever since I was little, starting when I was 4. My dad took a picture of me reading (or TRYING to read). Actually my dad just bought us a whole series of books on the history of Malaya (told in story books so as to attract children). I still remember the book I took and (tried) to read was the red book about Mahsuri & Langkawi with a woman tied to a tree as the front cover. It was the starting point of all things... probably the point in life that shaped who I am today.

When I grew a little bit older and picked that red book again to read (really read it this time!), it had felt very familiar & real. As if I have actually read the book when I was holding it as a 4 year-old. The mutual feelings made me feel very connected with books until today. Amazing how little things can change and shape your whole life... Anyway, last weekend there was another of Payless Books booksale! Yeah and as an avid reader I didn't miss the chance to further 'koyakkan' lagi my old worn out wallet. Hehehhe... I spent RM 62 that day and get 14 books! Cheap bargain right??? The titles although a little bit outdated (it's second hand afterall... duh...) were really great especially on home & crafts (favourite subject in our family), so that is why most of the books I borong was on this particular subject. Heheh...

To my 'salivating' sister... check out these titles!!! I snapped the pictures especially for you to drool over! Hehehehhe

Family & Brands of LOVE

The Wheel of Positive Living

Like a tree needs water, human being, in order to prosper, to live to the fullest and to keep the momentum of seeing everything positively in each day of our life, we need... MOTIVATION. It could come in various forms, love, friendship, money, just about anything be it a tangible thing or abstract. In fact, LIFE itself can also be a motivation.

One most important thing to keep ourselves motivated is to see things positively. Because once you did that, nothing will become impossible for you. BUT!! There are also negative things that can drive you, motivate you in a good way, if you know how to channel the negativity of it la...

As of now, my life has turned upside down and sideways in a lot of areas & I was honestly very depressed at one point, but somehow I pulled through and surfaced to a very highly concentrated oxygen (apa aku merepek daaaa..). The point is, you can change all your life problems into a very productive outcome once you just STOP thinking of the pink elephant and FOCUS more to how to remove the elephant out of your way. In short, stop crying start thinking positively! Start to think that YOU CAN PASS THIS LIFE HURDLE!

It's a positive & productive Sunday and I've made a new resolution (don't have to wait until New Year to make any!) to update my blog EVERYDAY (insyaAllah...) because recently I just found a way to make $$$$$ through this lame blog I have. Hehehe... I'm NOT going to disclose it yet. Wait until I have seen the result then I'll map it out for all of you!

Anyway I bought books (again) yesterday. Used books at the Payless Books Sales in USJ. Altogether RM 61.77 for 14 books! This is probably a reason I'm so ecstatic & positive today. Hehehh... I will definitely upload the picture later... (for my salivating sister's benefit). As for now... I leave you all to wonder what kind of books do I like...
